Welcome

Church of Christ, Egbeda. We are group of Christians striving to follow the pattern of worship found within the Word of God. Our goal is to simply be Christians who are pleasing to God. We do not claim to be perfect, but we do proclaim the excellencies of Him who is perfect (1 Peter 2:9). Jesus is the foundation of the church (1 Cor. 3:11), and He purchased it with His own blood (Acts 20:28). As you read through the Scriptures, you will not find denominations. Instead, you will discover that there is only one church/body (Eph. 4:4). It is imperative that we worship God and live our lives according to His Word and His Word only. To learn more about the church that Jesus purchased with His own blood, feel free to contact us or worship with us.

We All Fail, At Times, To Exercise Self-Control The word “self-control” is translated from a Greek word which literally means, “one who holds himself in.” It is a better rendering than “temperance,” since today the word “temperance” is usually limited in the meaning to one form of self-control,
